The new Milanese hotel is located opposite the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. A place of reference for the history of art and its teaching, capable of combining science, literature and the arts. Located in the beating heart of design with the Brera district, and the nerve center of olfactory art with the presence of niche perfumeries. The lighting concept follows the philosophy of the interior design: from the Milanese spirit, from the existing architecture, from the works of art and from the vast design heritage of this iconic city. The light reveals the layout of the 68 rooms (classified as Standard Room, Deluxe Room, Suite, Junior Suite, Presidential Suite) spread over seven floors. The lighting system shapes the different environments both with the use of architectural lighting fixtures (which integrate with the construction/furnishing components) and with decorative lamps which in some rooms are transformed into luminous sculptures. Light follows the evolution of the lifestyles of the contemporary traveller, developing the concept of "tailor-made hospitality".

In the hôtellerie, multiple lighting scenarios are programmed to allow guests to personalize their experience. From the "Welcome" scenario: characterized by a discreet light, which allows the gradual transition from the corridor (public space) to the welcoming light of the room (private space), to the "night" scenario where the light guides guests towards the desired environments. The ground floor, with a multifunctional hall, simultaneously develops the reception, lobby and lounge bar areas. For this reason, light creates a reading of the space and its hierarchies. Also on the ground floor is the restaurant where the theme of bright comfort is one of the keys to understanding.  The lighting contributes to the dialogue, to highlight the texture of the materials selected for the different areas such as the "Private Dining", the open kitchen, the "Juice Bar" and the external garden space. On the fifth floor there is the terrace which houses the bar and the swimming pool, while the two underground floors are dedicated to the spa and gym. The lighting design of the existing facades (east, north and south) follows the architectural composition of the building, evaluating the presence of poles for public lighting (in front of the main entrance of the hotel) and projectors on the facade for lighting of the Brera Academy.

The concept, for external architectural lighting, aims to "lighten" the visual presence of the lighting fixtures. Thus, small-sized luminaires with blade optics are selected, placed resting on the windowsill, in a central position with respect to the window, they uniformly illuminate the architrave and the jambs without glare inside, remaining hidden from view.
The installation of new glass parapets allows, with this lighting solution, to restore the geometries of the openings of the façades during the night hours. The facade is lit only by the windows.
