The renovation by the Jil Sander group and the opening of new monobrand or partnership shops, led to a renewal of the visual merchanding, whilst keeping the corporate image intact. The new lighting project needed to adapt the pre-existing architecture and systems without replacing them. The study and creation of a new recessed lighting system for the false ceiling made use of the existing grooves. The existing halogen or metal iodide lighting systems were replaced with LED lights specially-designed by iGuzzini, with controlled optics and excellent color rendition. The use of this lighting system involved remarkable advantages: reduced consumption of electricity and energy (air-conditioning system), reduced CO2 emissions, reduced maintenance and a considerable improvement in lighting performance.
