The project is inspired by the morphology of the region's villages, which often cluster buildings of various sizes around an open courtyard. The building intervention is organised in two distinct volumes that create a whole with the existing sports hall and its future extension. Inserting themselves with great precision into the site, the new volumes define a square of modest dimensions accessible from the north and open to the landscape. Integrating the sports hall perfectly, this simple composition limits the volumetric impact of the project on the context and allows the exceptional environment of the site to be enjoyed from all directions. The project provides a clear separation between the primary school and the kindergarten classes, which are located in the smaller building with the rhythmic room on the ground floor. The primary school is similarly organised on three floors, connected by straight flights of stairs and double-height spaces. The schools are complex structures within which different and interdisciplinary activities take place, interspersed with the passage of time: the hours of study, refreshment study, refreshment, work, play, sport and music. The lighting design has among its objectives energy sustainability, environmental, visual and psychological comfort, an integral part of the architectural design which is achieved by ensuring homogeneous lighting, excellent colour rendering, pleasant vision in the absence of marked shadows, glare, reflections. Fundamental is the safety of the lighting as it must be fully guaranteed in view of the fact that the spaces are used by children; special attention is given to the location of the installations, the good quality of the luminaires in terms of technical characteristics, reliability durability and maintenance cycle. In fact, although this is a 2013 project (end of construction 2018), luminaires with the latest latest generation LED source luminaires are used. The recognisability of the spaces is given by the different types of luminaires installed, their positioning in the rooms, the illuminance values prescribed for each visual task to be performed. The lighting therefore has a signalling value, accompanying and guiding paths. Also important is the positioning of the luminaires, which integrate with the architecture and must be out of reach of the pupils. For example, in the 'Salle de rythmique', luminaires are installed with a circular design with different diameters that generate dynamism and rhythmin the environment, the classrooms are characterised by suspended light lines that integrate with the exposed wooden beams.
